CZ DUTY 4.0 F

About this product
Drop-in triggers are a big part of what leaves our warehouse, so it is worth saying up front that CZ's new DUTY 4.0 arrives with its trigger already sorted. The refined SFDA unit is specified at 5.6±0.9 lbs, with 9 mm of travel and a 4 mm reset, and it is a factory part, not an upgrade you buy afterward. The rest of the pistol follows the same idea: a striker-fired 9x19mm built on a serialized internal chassis with a modular fiberglass-reinforced polymer grip frame, a direct-mount optics cut and fixed sights.
Sizes are simple. The C compact gives you 15+1 rounds, 17+1 with the extended base plate, in a 770 g, 135 mm tall gun. The F full-size gives you 17+1, 19+1 extended, in a 780 g, 143 mm tall gun. Both carry a 4-inch barrel without threads inside a 188 mm, 33 mm wide package. MS models add a manual thumb safety alongside the firing pin block, trigger safety and trigger bar safety. CZ lists it at $729.
The F is the service-size frame: 5.6 in (143 mm) tall, 27.7 oz (780 g) unloaded, 17+1 rounds of 9mm on board and 19+1 with the extended floor plate. The longer grip fills a big hand and settles the gun between shots.
Under the DUTY name sits a serialized modular chassis, a 1.3 in (33 mm) wide fiberglass-reinforced polymer frame, a 4-inch barrel and a trigger CZ rates at 25 ± 4 N (5.6 ± 0.9 lbs) with a 0.16 in (4 mm) reset. The slide is optics-ready by direct mount rather than an adapter plate. Fixed sights come standard, and the barrel is not threaded.
This version has no external safety lever. It relies on three passive safeties, firing pin block, trigger safety and trigger-bar safety, and the trigger is the same as on the MS model. Shooters who prefer a lever should pick the MS.
Best fit: the belt, the nightstand and the range; the version to buy if you rarely need to hide the gun. Shooters coming from a CZ 75 will recognize the grip angle; buyers coming from any other striker gun will notice the trigger first.
Magazines and triggers from the same order ship to your address as usual, but the pistol itself ships only to an FFL dealer. Tell us which dealer at checkout. When the gun arrives there, the dealer runs the transfer and applies whatever your state requires for a handgun pickup. We leave the legal side entirely to the dealer, since they know the local rules and we do not set them.

Frequently asked questions
- Will older CZ magazines work in the DUTY 4.0?
- CZ has not confirmed compatibility with magazines from its earlier pistol lines, so plan on the magazines made for the DUTY 4.0 until CZ says otherwise.
- Can the DUTY 4.0 trigger be swapped for a drop-in?
- We do not list any drop-in for it, and the factory refined SFDA trigger at about 5.6 lbs with a 4 mm reset is the reason most buyers will not look for one.
- How many rounds does the CZ DUTY 4.0 F hold?
- 17+1 with the standard magazine and 19+1 with the extended base plate.
- Can I put a red dot on it?
- Yes. The slide is optics-ready with direct mounting; CZ's photos show Holosun, Aimpoint and Shield dots fitted.
